Human Services designed to promote the President's HealthierUS
initiative. Its goal is the prevention and reduction of asthma,
diabetes, smoking and obesity, and the promotion of physical activity
and good nutrition.

HealthierUS, representing 3 of the 40 Steps communities across the US.
The PA Department of Health provides leadership to Fayette, Luzerne &
Tioga Counties as each county attempts to prevent & reduce chronic
disease & promote healthy lifestyles.

Steps to a HealthierPA, Tioga County, is a county effort to help make residents more aware of what they can do to live healthier lives, whether in the community, at school, at work, or at home. The Northcentral Area Health Education Center (AHEC), the Tioga County Partnership for Community Health (TCPCH) and Laurel Health System (LHS) are local Steps partners in disease prevention and health promotion.
